Working with me

Q: How do we start?

A: Send me a message with a short description of your business and what you need. I’ll ask a few simple questions, we’ll agree a start date, then I’ll send the booking invoice and one-page agreement.

Q: How long does a website take?

A: Most websites are built and launched within a week once I have your text and images. If you’re busy, we’ll agree a realistic start date and work to your timeline. Full timings are always confirmed in advance and covered in the business terms

Q: Do I need to be “techy”?

A: Not at all. I keep it simple. I’ll structure everything, tidy your content, and handle the setup so you’re not stuck in the admin. I will even create images for you, including a Logo, or even write you your first Squarespace Website Blog - available as an Optional Extra.

Q: Do you work across the UK?

A: Yes — I work with service businesses all over the UK. Everything can be done by message, email and a quick call if needed. I have a dedicated Client Portal for Clients to easy submit all of the information that I will need - easy to complete short forms are online - and if you struggle to complete them you can even provide the information via Whatsapp Voice Notes.

Pricing and payment

Q: What does the Core Website Package include?

A: A full Squarespace website (up to 5 pages), mobile-friendly layout, clear navigation, image resizing and optimisation, basic SEO setup, contact form, and domain connection/technical setup. Built properly and launched fast.

Q: Do you offer a launch discount?

A: Sometimes, yes (when I have limited slots). If it’s available, it will be shown clearly on my Services page.

Q: How do payments work?

A: 50% deposit secures your Core Website Package booking. The remaining balance is due before the website goes live. All Optional Extras are payable in full at the time of starting their build.

Q: Is there any ongoing commitment?

A: No. Once your website is built, it’s yours. You’ll have your own Squarespace login and full control. Monthly maintenance is optional.

Who owns the website and accounts?

Q: Will I own my website?

A: Yes. The website is built in your Squarespace account (or transferred to you) so you own it and control it.

Q: What about Squarespace subscription fees?

A: Squarespace plans are paid directly to Squarespace and are separate from my build fee. I’ll help you choose the right plan for your business, and your site will be set up in your own account.

Q: Will you need access to my accounts?

A: Only if needed for setup. If it’s easier, I can create a Google account in your business name for Analytics/Search Console and then hand over the login details to you. To complete Optional Business Listings I will set up via your business email and provide you with the password that you can then change on completion.

SEO and getting found on Google

Q: Will my website show up on Google?

A: A new website takes time to appear properly, but I set up the foundations so Google can index it correctly. This includes page titles, descriptions, structure, and submission to search tools where needed.

We do offer an SEO Optimisation Service - full details on our Service Page, along with the option of writing you a first Blog, this starts working in the background to help people find you, trust you, and contact you.

Q: Do I need ongoing SEO?

A: Not always. Most service businesses do well with solid foundations, a clear site structure, and occasional content updates. If you want ongoing SEO later, we can discuss it, but I don’t push it.

Q: Do blogs help SEO?

A: Yes — blogs are one of the best long-term ways to grow visibility, especially for service businesses. If you want to publish blogs regularly but don’t have time to do the technical side, monthly maintenance can help. If you want to see what this looks like in practice, the Green Fields Home Kill & Butchery case study shows how regular blogs, internal links, and clear structure increased visibility and enquiries.

We also offer an Optional Extra to write your first Squarespace Blog, these details are on our Service Page.

Optional Extras

Q: What optional extras do you offer?

A: • Basic SEO setup – £75–£100

• Google Business Profile setup – £50

• Business directory listings (Yell, Cylex and Yelp ) – all three for £100

  • Plus a free Guide to easily import your Google Profile to Bing for Business in under 2 minutes!

• Domain connection & technical setup – £40

• Monthly maintenance – £50/month

• Blog Writing Add-on £150

Q: Do I have to add extras?

A: No. Most clients just want the Core Website Package. Extras are there if you want them, not because you “should”.

Our New Blog Using ChatGPT as a Small Business Owner - What Actually Works will help you manage your New Website if you choose not to take our Optional Extras

Q: Do you offer social media help?

A: I don’t advertise it as a core service because it’s time-heavy, but for some builds I can help with simple launch support (for example, a post template or basic guidance).

We recommend The Efficient Penguin Co, whom offer multiple support packages - more details are available on our Service Page or on their website.

Website and SEO terms (plain English)

Q: What are page views?

A: The number of times a page is viewed. It’s a useful signal, but enquiries matter more than big numbers.

Q: What does “indexing” mean?

A: It means Google has found your page and added it to its database, so it can show it in search results.

Q: What are breadcrumbs?

A: Small navigation links that show where you are on a website (example: Home > Case Studies > Pasha Flowers). They help users and Google understand structure.

Q: What is HTTPS?

A: The secure version of your website address. Browsers trust it, and Google expects it.

Q: What are Core Web Vitals?

A: Google’s measures for site experience like loading speed and stability. Faster, cleaner sites usually perform better.

Q: What is mobile UX?

A: How easy your website is to use on a phone. This is critical because most visitors are on mobile.

Q: What is schema?

A: A type of code that helps search engines understand your page (like services, reviews, FAQs). It can improve how your site appears in Google.
